Of course, these are pretty amazing statements for Jeb Bush to make. After all, from the moment George W. Bush first took the oath of office Republicans—including Dubya himself—have never stopped blaming Bill Clinton and even Barack Obama for the slaughter of 3,000 Americans and the dismal economic performance that occurred during Bush's watch.
Just ask Republican strategist and former Dick Cheney adviser Mary Matalin. In December 2009, she could have been speaking for the entire Bush team when she offered this masterpiece of Republican turd polishing:
"I was there, we inherited a recession from President Clinton, and we inherited the most tragic attack on our own soil in our nation's history."Just because the talking point was wrong on both counts didn't prevent conservatives before and after her from vomiting it up.
